Being of a conservative and religious
background, I have always been told by elders, whenever my rebellious
side furiously protests against my present reality, to be patient and
accept whatever God has given me in total obedience. As if our lives as
human beings, were already preordained in a golden book to never be
questioned.
But
with time, I came to the conclusion that we humans do have the right to
stand and reassess our living, we humans have the choice to accept or
condemn things within our reach, as I strongly believe that destiny
interferes according to the path you chart.
After
all, as I always say, God is not the one silencing that alarm beside
your bed, he’s not the one making your coffee or dragging you to the
shower every morning or even scouring the web for job opportunities, to
be blamed for every “faux pas-misstep” you make or for the life you
decided to lead.
I
know, this little confession of mine may turn heads to the wrong side
cursing my bold and ungrateful mind, but I would like to reassure you
that feeling responsible for your own life doesn’t conceal the fact that
God is a steadfast ally to seek for help and strength when none is at
hand.
A
wonderful confidant to be entrusted with your plans and life. A
protector hidden in the absolute darkness to be cherished and loved for
the good more than the bad. A comforting insurance that we all need to
protect our selves from a demolishing self-flagellation when things
fall apart.
So
my dear friends (as I dare to call you), advocate for your life as you
only have "one" to fight for while offering your soul and heart to this
mysterious power that lifted me through the years blessing me with
priceless gifts, beyond measure, that none other can afford to give.
Meryem !
