WELLNESS TRIFECTA

My life hasn’t always been a tranquil and pleasant voyage; many challenges have threatened its success. But over the last few years, I've learned (started to) how to skiver the bad omens or at least how to maintain the boat above the water while traveling through unfamiliar, risky and turbulent seas. How? I’ll just say “Wellness Trifecta”, a life philosophy that I encountered one day while reading about mental health (a theme you’ll add to your reading list, after 25 due to some mysterious infected creatures we are living with, in the hope to not turn into one of them).

This ideology emphasized the importance of balance in life where your job is not the core of your entire existence (as it was for me). The long hours spent in the office and the energy poured into regrets and sorrow should be reinvested into other enjoyable activities that promote mental, physical, and emotional well-being, and eventually, success in your daily life.

As for my physical health, I chose swimming, the perfect activity for the naïve and stubborn fish that I am, always ensnared in an obvious hook. For my mental, well my job perfectly exemplifies the word and its homograph depending on the day and entourage. And for my well-being, I guess you already suffer the outcome, words, and paragraphs loaded with emotions and souvenirs that I unleash into this platform and others, in addition to kid’s stories and books that I keep for my inner child (just for the moment). And to my so-called impatient side, I chose to embark on a new adventure “sewing” which was considered the craft of the Gods by ancient civilizations (forgive my humble side).

To be true this trifecta of well-being is a tremendous doctrine that changed my life. However, to be truly sincere, fighting sorrow and deception is a never-ending struggle, the remedies recommended in courses and books are not 100 % effective. As life continues, you just gotta keep trying, keep going and do your best.
